Ideally, the names of your parents and grandparents are a good start. Birth, death and marriage dates help, along with where they lived at each occasion. If you have taken an autosomal DNA test, it can be attached to your tree to find matches on Ancestry or uploaded to Gedmatch.
If we can at least place your ancestors on the 1931 Census in Canada or the 1950 US Census, that will be a jumping off point to go further back into your family history. So many records can be found online these days.
I will set up your family on a private Ancestry tree. Any records I find will be merged into the tree and a report will be saved and emailed to you as a PDF.
Based on a scope of work we develop together, the fee for each project can range greatly. Typically this would be either a flat fee for simple defined deliverables, or an hourly billing arrangement for more complex research.
Unfortunately, my research will be limited to English-speaking countries. Hopefully I can connect you with a multilingual researcher.
